It has been nearly 1 month since mama worked part-time as a sales assistant in a children apparel store in Novena. Seeing that my worn clothes have been piling up, i decided to wash them for the first time in my life after much guidance from mama.
Knowing that it will take considerably long to reach home, i hurried back right after work. Managed to finish the chore within 2 hours which was within my expectation. More washing to come.. haaa... but seeing how cheerful mama is since she started working, i guess it's all worthwhile not to mention that lesser interaction with her at home also means more peace for my ears. Haha. Just joking. Afterall, a housewife's trait is to nag, and i might inherit it in time to come. Better stop criticising before Karma falls on me. =X
Back at work, my new colleague just reported to work on Monday. Finally our team has increased by 1 member after my almost 2-year stay in MS. For the first time, i have a teammate who join me for lunch. Since my stay here, my lunch group has been changing due to the high turnover rate during one season to the point that i get use to it. Might not be a bad thing actually as i can learn to interact with new colleagues and improve my interpersonal skills. ;) Thankfully i get to meet nice colleagues who are easy-going & generous in sharing their life experiences, especially a particular mum who shares about motherhood & married life which is indeed enriching for us who have yet to enter into the next stage of life. My 2 colleagues from China are also good influences to help us improve our Mandarin. I realised how bad my chinese is after interacting with them. Sometimes, i can't even speak a full chinese sentence. Looks like i have thrown all that i've learnt into the drain eversince I graduated from poly.
Btw, i had a funny encounter today in the train though it pissed me off at the same time. I almost fell alsleep while standing in the train when a strong pungent smell caught my breath. It was SO STRONG that i almost immediately wake up upon inhaling. The man in front of me who was leaning against the glass adjacent to the door actually farted & strangely, it was not a usual "fart-pattern" which reaches one's nose gradually with increasing pungent. Instead, it's like an invisible HUGE ball that suffocated you for a few seconds and "disappear" soon after. -_-'''
I thought i was the only one who had this "strange encounter", only to realise that the lady seated next to the glass door also reacted the same way as I did. The fart "caught her by surprise" & she gave an almost immediate frown, stretching her neck while trying to figure out who that joker is. It didn't take her long to sniff - yes i really mean SNIFF - out the culprit since that man's butt was facing her. If you have seen her startled reaction to the fart which can be liken to seeing a ghost, you will definitely let out a laugh like i'm doing now.
Well friends, i hope i have brighten up your day by a little with this entry. Hope your week has been great so far!
